Cinnamon Roll Coffee Cake

When we saw this recipe, we knew we had to give it a try <insert drooling face here>. It turned out delicious! So if you’re looking for something great to go along with your tea, coffee or to satisfy your cake craving of the moment; give this a recipe a try!

Our tip of the week: Pay attention to the pan size you’re using, otherwise this happens… 



Cake:                                                                                                         Topping:                                                                      

½ cup butter, melted                                                                         1 cup butter, melted

2 eggs                                                                                                     1 cup brown sugar

1 cup sugar                                                                                            2 Tbsp flour

3 cups flour                                                                                           1 Tbsp cinnamon

2 tsp vanilla                                                                                           Glaze:

4 tsp baking powder                                                                           2 cups powdered sugar

¼ tsp salt                                                                                              5 Tbsp milk

1½ cups milk                                                                                       1 tsp vanilla


What to do:

1.Set your oven to 350 degrees F.

Mix all your cake ingredients in a large bowl.

Pour into a greased 9×13 pan.

Combine all your topping ingredients in a separate bowl until mixed thoroughly.

Pour your topping mix on the batter and spread evenly, using a knife, swirl the topping into the batter.                                                                                                                                   This is when we first realized our pan was too small

Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.


Mix all your glaze ingredients in a small bowl “until consistency like pancake syrup”

After your cake has finished baking, and while it’s still warm pour your glaze over it

The glaze will harden as it cools.


This was a huge hit with the family!
